Shame on me... I haven't posted anything yet.

This weekend I had a blast at Memory Lane Inn in McKinney, TX!

I wasn't able to stay the whole weekend with my family and friends because I'm still nursing, but I was able to stay the WHOLE day on Saturday. I mean I was there from 8 AM to 1 AM. I got several LOs finished, and I had so much fun.

You really just haven't lived until you been scrapping at this place with friends... Check out their website... Memory Lane Inn; plus when you stay there you get 15% at the local scrapbook store Scrappin' Bunnies.

GREAT PLACE!!!

I arrived home very early Sunday morning around 2 AM. I slept until about 10 AM, and then Gavin and I unloaded all of my stuff into my scrap room. There was a funny odor in there, so I swished around, realizing that my WONDERFUL husband had painted my scrap space for me! It was BEAUTIFUL. It is a grey color with a brown or taupe undertone. It's very nice. It looks great with the laminate wood flooring and my stupendous scrap island. I picked out some wall shelves at ikea that I plan to buy and I'm going to get an ikea bookcase to house my papers, etc.

Here are some pics of stuff that will eventually make it's way to my scrap room!!! Most of it is ikea of course.

I want a bookshelf in white with casters. I plan to make this as mobile as possible so I can move it around if it gets in the way. There will be a little TV and DVD player there as well so when Harper is bigger she can sit in the room and watch TV when while I scrap. Plus this is a guest room as well, so that works well for guests. The bed pulls out of the sofa. Next to the sofa there will be a little side table with a pharmacy lamp. Next to my work island and bookcase there will be a floor pharmacy lamp. Of course pops of red here and there in my rug and the photo boxes come in red too! Yay! I am getting some little white shelves for the wall. I'm going to get 2 of them and put little hooks on the bottom to hang utensils and things, etc. It's going to take time to finish my room, but I don't mind waiting. The next thing to do is get my bookcase, casters for it and for my table, paint my table, and I will be on my way to getting stuff off the floor finally, sweet!!

I will write more later today or tomorrow, but I'm beat and suffering from some major allergies.

Harper's school is sucking me dry right now, and I still have dreams of opening a scrap store or a place like Memory Lane Inn. Anyway! Tata for now!

Tomorrow is Jeans Day!

I look forward to every Friday at work because I can wear JEANS, hooray!

On ScrapFreak I found out about ScrapbookPictures.com; it's a great place to get picture prints of varying sizes for CHEAP with $2 shipping on every order. That's a better deal than Walmart and Walgreens (both places that I typically buy pics). I plan to place an order once I have some money.

Gavin and I are broke as a joke. What I wouldn't give for the days when we had an extra $7000 in the bank. Where did it all go? Now we are barely scraping by. Geez! On the upside I got like a $1000 raise to my salary at UNT, but I won't start seeing those monthly changes until after August 1st. That's like an extra $50 on my paycheck. It's pretty much nothing when you only get paid once a month. Why can't UNT pay on a biweekly schedule, seriously?!

Also I plan to use my Picasa software to make collages of my pictures for my scrapbook. I can't wait to try this out; it's a new editing tool that I haven't had time to use.

Tonight I will probably scrap something, and then I will start packing up my supplies for my crop retreat. I'm only staying for 1 whole day, but I really can't wait. I'm a CROP virgin!

Then I'm planning on 2 crops in August. One at Scrappin' Bunnies from 12PM to 12AM on August 21st, and hopefully one on August 15th *crosses fingers* with my Scrap Freak pals.

Gavin fixed up my scrap room a little while he was at home yesterday. He's so happy that I have a place for my hobby now. It looks great. I will have to take pictures of it and post for everyone to see. Of course it is still a work in progress. And I need to remember to take my camera to my retreat; yay, yay, yay, and I want to bring my camera to Harper's school one day and take pictuers of her playing with her teachers for the album!

I have so many ideas swirling in my head I need to write them down:
I've Got You Babe - Daddy with Harper
Mother's Day
Father's Day
Bath Robe pics - Need a title...
Swing A Ding-Ding
In My Daughter's Eyes
Sleeping Beauty
Life Is What Happens To You While You're Busy Making Other Plans
Sew Pretty - Cute as a Button (2 page LO)
and plenty more where that came from...

Made a few purchases today....

Harper and Daddy are staying at home together today. Daddy has a bad cold and double ear infections. He was too sick to work today. Harper only want to stay home because her Daddy was staying home. She still has some sniffles though.

For lunch I spent time with my mom. We ate at Jason's Deli, and we went to Hobby Lobby. I am happy to know that they have a small selection of American Crafts, Cosmo Cricket, My Minds Eye, Anna Griffin and Bazzill, and I was very happy to see that. I'll just have to wait till their papers go on sale before I buy anything. I will still be going to my LSS though for the stuff that they don't have in stock. I noticed that they carry mostly the basics, nothing super special really. They did have a craft pack for Cosmo Cricket, but not the one I was looking for. I'll just be patient.

This weekend I am going to my very first all day crop. I'll arrive at 7 in the morning and leave around midnight or later the next day. Ah! All day crops!!! Whoohoo!

Today my mom got a wicked deal on the Basic Grey Self Healing Magnetic Board. I own one, and I swear by it! Today I purchased some opaque white stamp ink, a little caddy for my tools, and a wicked awesome adhesive gun! I was able to use my coupon 40% off coupon, and I saved like $4. Yippee.

When we get paid this Friday I need to pay bills then take out a little cash and not spend it!

I hope that my two sick babies at home feel better, and I'm happy to pick up our pictures this evening as well!

Thank the Lord for this day that He made.

It's coming together...

my scrap room that is!

Last night my sweet little sick husband took the legs off of my table and moved it into my scrap room.

I cleaned up my space, organized my baskets, organized my drawer, and now I have a lovely space to stand and scrap. It's the perfect height for me because I'm pretty short.

I still have my paper in cropper hoppers on the floor, but I don't mind. Eventually I'll get a bookshelf to house my extras.

Harper is back at school today. She's getting a little rash on her booty and still has the sniffles, poor baby. She'll be okay though as long as they take good care of her at the nursery.

Gavin is sick as a dog this morning. So sick that he's actually going to the doctor (that's totally not like him at all). None of us got much sleep last night because of my two babies' illnesses, and I'm still hopin' that I don't come down with something, especially since I have my first crop this weekend!

Ooh ooh I can't wait!

Poor baby.

Harper is sick with a little cold. She missed school today, and stayed with her Granny. I hope that she feels better soon.

Gavin is sick with cold too. Hopefully I don't get sick now!

I did a LO this weekend, but I'm not sure if I like it or not. I added some doodling, and it's not my fave. Ugh.

I got my table this weekend. It's huge and doesn't fit in my scraproom, so we will have to remove the top to get it through the doorway. Later on I plan to buy a bigger piece of butcher block for the top of the table, so that I can sit comfortably at the table, and I have room for another scrapper. Yay! I can't wait to fill the baskets and drawers!

This weekend I will be going to my first crop, so I need to get all my papers together and I need to get all my stickers and other cool stuff together, so that I have a lot to choose from. I'm excited to scrap with my family! Yay!

Tonight I need to upload photos to Walmart and get them printed for this weekend I can't wait!!!

I'm looking for bookshelves for my scrap room, a tool caddy and another bag for my scrapbook embellies.

Finally, a table!

I found the perfect addition to my scrappin' room. I hope that you like it. I will be picking it up this Saturday after playing at the flea market.

Gavin is in a bad mood as usual. Started out like a good evening, but then he gets sour. I just don't get it. Then he says that he's going to sand the furniture, and comes back in the house to lay down.

Eek. Men. Harper is napping so this is a nice time to just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet while I make dinner.

Hump Day Post...

My eyes are sleepy.

Harper only was at school for a half day today. Her Granny Pam picked her up to spend the afternoon with her. What a sweet Granny she is!? Harper is doing well at school. I feel better about her daycare now. But that does not mean that I don't want to stay home with her full time.

I'm excited about this weekend. I will be going to the McKinney Flea Market, whee! I love FLEA MARKETS; it's like a GIANT garage sale!! Teehee! Then on Saturday evening or Sunday morning Gavin and I are going on a movie date! We are going to splurge and see Harry Potter, whee!!! Yippee!

Okay, so scrappin' news! I love this week's LO from 52 Sketches...52 Weeks, so cute, and I can't wait to use it. I think I'm going to use this LO for my 4th of July pics, but I'm not certain, we'll see if there's something cuter by chance. Yippee! Can't wait!

Also got a smashing deal on Thickers from Scrapperzgirl at Two Peas I got 15 or so Thickers letters and accents for like $30, and then I bought a stash of Prima flowers in Pastels and Brights from Benita on Two Peas. When people are cleaning out their stashes the place to be is Two Pears For Sale or Trade Forum! Check it out. Scrap Freak is still 80% off on all of their clearance. You know how I love a deal!? Scrappin' Paradise has a GREAT deal on their AC lines and tons of other things too up to 75% off, but shipping was kind of steep for me, so I didn't order anything from them. Nothing I couldn't live without until next payday.

The next thing on my list is.... the American Crafts (AC) Modern Album in Black or Cardinal Red.
Any of course anything else that will make my stash unbelievable!

Ah, Monday.

Harper started school today. I dropped her off while she was sleeping this morning, and I was just scared how she would react when she woke up to strange faces in a strange place.

I saw her at lunchtime, and she was very happy to see me. She smiled, talked and ate.

I will say that I'm a worrywart and I know it. I'm worried that she won't get enough tummy time, or that she won't get to practice sitting down in a bumbo chair like we do at home. She's so tiny, and she's content to be left alone, and I'm just afraid she won't get enough attention with all the other crying babies there. I cried after I left the nursery. Three of the children in her classroom had bad coughs and two were running fevers. Harper has never been around sick children before. I'm just scared.

I really need to figure out a way to stay home. I don't mind that I will have to make cutbacks; we just need to find a way that I can make enough money to cover our mortgage. I need to make a minimum of $1300/month after taxes.

You know I wouldn't mind working part time either because Pam could watch her in the PM until G get's off work, and then I could watch her in the AM.

Here are some pictures of Harper, and there are new pics of scrappin' pages for ya!

Also, news:
I visited Scrappin' Bunnies Scrapbook Store in McKinney, TX, and I fell in love. They have such a great selection for a small shop. They have a great little crop area, and they have crops till Midnight Friday and Saturdays. I plan to go to the all day crop on August 22nd, let me know if you want to join me, and I would be glad to reserve us a spot. It's $15 BYODinner. The family that runs the place is AWESOME. I can't wait to get to know them better. The owner called me a seasoned scrapper. It was funny because I told her that I'd only been scrapping for a little over a month. I just do a lot of research online! Crazy!

Also Friday July 25th, I'm filling in for a person who can't go with my mom and family to a crop retreat in McKinney at Memory Lane Inn. I can't wait. I'm not going to stay the night, but I will crop all day and all night! Then I will return home to see my girlie and hubby poo!

Update:
This weekend Harper, me and Gavin had a fun time at Abuelita's pool. We got her a floatie and sat her in it. She splashed alittle, but overall didn't enjoy the experience much. We had a pretty good weekend just relaxin' and enjoying each other's company. A must see, HILARIOUS movie is Ghost Town! Tres cute!

Next weekend:
We are going to the McKinney Flea Market, join us; it will be fun! Maybe my mom and I can go to a scrappin' store in Waxahachie too. We'll see.

Okay, so here are the pics for real this time.

Plans!

Okay. Good morning first and foremost!

On to my agenda now...

At lunch:
- Harper's doctor's signature on Fred Moore paperwork / copy of immunization records
- Finish filling out Harper's Fred Moore paperwork
- Breastfeed Harper
- Eat lunch
- Go back to work

Tonight:
- Drive to McKinney to visit Michael's, Joann's, and Scrappin Bunnies
- Pull money from ATM

This weekend:
- CVS pharmacy to pick up prescription
- Walmart photo to pick up July 4th pics
- Wells Fargo for another check register

Okay and then some SCRAPPIN!
Harper was very happy this morning to be with her granny. Granny was late getting back from the pool this morning, so Harper and Mama sat outside for a while and talked to Daddy on the phone.
Gavin's friend is coming over tonight, so I'm going to keep Harper away from the house, so G can have his 'man' time. I hope that he enjoys it.
Thumbs up to a GREAT weekend ahead. I want to paint my scrap room or pick up a table this weekend! Eek!

I'm sleepy.

Happy Christmas in July!

We are halfway there to the MOST wonderful time of the year!

Harper is happily staying home with her Daddy today. I will see her around lunchtime, and I just can't wait! The last few nights I've been going to bed pretty early. I always start out in my scrapping room for a few minutes, and then Harper wakes up to feed, so I feed her inevitably falling asleep, and when Gavin takes her from my arms, we all go to bed pretty much. That is every night for the last week. I'm zonked and I just don't know why. I have no energy nowadays.

I look forward to staying up late and scrapping this weekend. I never have time to really sit for a long period of time, but I'm going to make time this weekend. I need my scrap haven.
Still looking for a cheap table to make my masterpieces on. Waiting on some stuff to come in the mail or ups... yay! Can't wait.
Tonight before I go home I think I'll stop at the store and pick somethign up before my coupons expire.

Did I mention that I'm zonked? Yeah.

Hump Day Post...

Tomorrow Harper is staying home with her sweet Daddy while Granny gets a check up done.

Harper's 2 month old stats: 10.13 lbs / 22 1/2 ins - My how you've grown in a month an 2 weeks.
Harper's 2 week old stats: 7 lbs / 20 ins - She was just a tiny bit bigger than when she was born.
Harper's 2 day old stats: 6.3 lbs / 19 1/4 ins - Did you shrink Harper?
Harper's Birthday stats: 6.9 lbs / 19 3/4 ins - Sweet angel baby...

I knew that she had grown up since her last appointment, but even I was surprise by how much!? Harper is currently wearing her 0-3 / 3-6 months clothes, and she is in size 1 diapers. She is in the 50th percentile (right in the middle) for both height and weight. She starts daycare this coming Monday, and I'm not looking forward to it. I know she will be great, but I'm concerned that she won't get the kind of one on one attention and nurturing that she gets with her family right now. I hope she flourishes though in spite of that. This week we are going to switch her over to powdered formula. This will be easier to maintain while she's at daycare, and I'm still breastfeeding, but I don't see myself continuing that for much longer. I feel like I produce less and less each day.

I recently saw old pictures of myself from Christmas 2005. I was about a size 3/4 at this time in my life, and I look great! I feel kind of depressed about my weight. I'm at my prepregnancy weight right now, but my body is still weird looking. I hate my loose skin. I need to loose about 20 lbs to fit in 3/4s again. When I'm not breastfeeding I'll be able to diet a little, and that will help. Right now I'm watching my intake, and I'm eating small portions. I'm drinking tons of water, and I'm not snacking. Also I'm eating 3 healthy meals a day. I don't have time to work out right now, and school starts on Monday, so what extra time I would have will be eaten up by school work. I'm stressed about finances right now with Harper's daycare eating up half of my paycheck. We are making cutbacks, but I'm still concerned.

Scrapping for me right now is a creative outlet. It's keeping me relatively stress free. Honestly I would like to drop my class this summer and not take it, but it would deter me from taking my fall class that I've already signed up for. Why can't I just stay home with Harper?! School is seriously going to stress me out, and this whole daycare thing is expensive (even for the cheapest daycare in town)!!

I'm exhausted all the time now. I really don't sleep well even when I do get sleep. Sometimes I feel like I'm so far from where I want to be.
- I want to be done with my degree.
- I want to be in shape.
- I want to be in a career that I love and enjoy / or just staying home.
- I want to make more money.
- I want to pay off my credit cards and put more money in savings a month.
- I want a bigger car.
- I want Gavin to have a new car that is reliable and requires less maintenance.
- I want Gavin to be finished with his degree.
- I want Gavin to be in shape with me.
- I want to have more hours in the day to spend with my family.
- I want to be a better cook.
- I want to have time to read a book.
- I want to sleep well everynight.
- I want to be healthy, wealthy and wise.

Haha. I want, I want, I want! Marsha, Marsha, Marsha!
I'm done with my rant.
Here are some cute pics of my cutie patootie.
BTW, I have some awesome coupons for Michael's and Hobby Lobby 40-50% off. Yay. I'm going to get a white opaque pen, fiskars crafting knife and maybe something else, when I find time of course.
From July, okay....
Lookin' at her Grandpa!
From July, okay....
Happy 4th of July
From July, okay....
Whatcha lookin' at there?
From July, okay....
Tiny feet, tiny toes...
From July, okay....
Sleepy girl...
From July, okay....
What Mama does best!

Okay, finally some pics!

This post will contain mostly just pictures, eek, so here goes!

These are my most recent layouts from newest to oldest.

"First Picture" - These are Harper's first ultrasound pics.
"I'm Just a Summer Girl" - These are pics of Harper in her summer dresses! Inspired by a song by Jessica Andrews.
"I'll Love You Forever" - These are gifts that I made for Gavin, his dad and my dad for Father's Day, all from sweet little Harper!

If you want to know what I used to create my masterpieces just comment!

the 4th

Changed my blog up a bit. I think it's adorable now. I love Shabbyblogs.com... Cute stuff.
Ordered my Basic Grey Magnetic Mat Kit today, someone on TwoPeas was selling it for uber cheap, so I bought it up for $17 including shipping. That's a great deal. They are normally $25 + shipping on other sites.

Now all I need is a craft knife. I think I'm going to get the Fiskars brand with funny handle.

Um this weekend we're heading to Karina's house for fireworks and food, yum! And I might actually go swimming. I haven't gone swimming in 2 summers. I hope Harper has a great time.
We decided to not go to the game tonight, so we gave out tickets to my parents; they should have fun tonight! I hope everyone has a good 4th and weekend!

Just about to leave for lunch, quick post!

K, so I am trying to organize my SB room right now. It's nearly impossible! I don't have a table to scrap at. I scrap on wood floor in my guest bedroom. And I don't have shelves to put stuff on, so all of my supplies, stickers, tools, paper, embellies, and everything is spread out around me at all times. This just kills me honestly. I love to SB, but I'm afraid to go in my room to tackle everything.

Ugh, I just need a cheap table and fast! I'm going to hit up craiglist soon. I have a shelving unit to put in there, but I'm taking it out of Harper's room, so I need something to go in there. Preferrably something small, like 3 shelves to go under her window in there.

Ugh. I ordered some stuff from the Freak. It was 80% off; what a fabulous deal. Spent like $14 and got tons of paper and embellies. Love that!

I'm a bargain queen!
Ok, now it's time to see my little baby and give her lots of kisses and cuddles.

Tomorrow night, possible Rangers game with Gavin's free tickets, and SB because I CAN!
Yay!

Happy Hump Day! Wee!!!

Okay, so yesterday evening I had a great time scrap shopping with my mom. We went to Michael's so I could use my 50% off coupon before it expired that evening. My mom went in 50/50 on a pack of nursery paper; I got the Hog Heaven from Sassafrass Lass. It was on sale for $14.99 but I got it for $7.50 with my coupon. I purchase some cute clear everyday stamps, ink, a few kitschy stickers from K&Co that were on clearance, and some paper border that was on clearance as well. I try not to buy anything unless it's on sale or unless I have an awesome coupon
Then I went to Big Lots sans Mom. They had THICKERS yo! They were $2/pack. I got 2 packs of each font that they had. I got light blue poolside, lime green prancer and pink root beer float. Then I got some accents vinyl stickers. I forget which ones though in pearly green, white, yellow, black and magenta. Then I found a pack of American Crafts paper, A la Carte. They were $8/pack. That's an awesome deal, so I got those as well. When I get more scrappin' monies I will head back and see if there are new fonts. They also have the Remarks stickers by American Crafts, some funky chipboard shapes, and they had American Crafts buttons and eyelets. I love that brand.
They had some other scrappin stuff for cheap, but I only really wanted the American Crafts stuff.
I'm extremely tired today as usual, but I feel like tonight is going to be great! I have plans with my scrappin' space when Harper is done feeding and gone off to slumberland! I need to organize my 12*12 pages, and I want to start on my memorial day layout I think. That or I want to finally finish my labor pages or I might just leave them plain jane. I need to finish typing my birthing story, and I have plans with the mac tonight. I need to upload photos for everyone, and I also want to set up a collage of pics for a layout that I'm dreaming off.
I know that I'm going to have a great weekend with my family. On the fourth we have plans to visit our Aunt Karina and play with sparklers, yay! I just need to pick some up one night.
I can't wait until this evening.
Now what should I prepare for dinner?
